This is my dump-box for short stories, imaginative descriptions, and other forays into fiction.  

The most recently posted/revised pieces will be at the top of the list.

“Hon” – An exercise in characterization and dialogue for Beginning Fiction Workshop.

“Waking Up” – An exercise in sensory description for Beginning Fiction Workshop.

“Electric Eye” – Originally intended to be a poem containing specific words, this turned into a rather haunting description of an abandoned doctor’s office.  Hopefully, I’ll use this in a story.

Prometheus Unbound – A novel-in-progress.  Currently, I have an old, crappy introduction and some new and revised text up.  It’s been a while since I worked on it.  Hopefully, I’ll post some more soon.

“St. John’s Wort” – A short story written in journal format based on my own experience losing my virginity.  Needs a major overhaul.

“Cult” – A really bad introduction to an intended story about a Randian character’s attempt to overthrow the dogmatic cult in which he lives.  I plan on eventually writing this.

“The Afterlife” – A really old (circa middle school) story written by three people in turns.  The sections I have written are highlighted blue.  Really rather amusing to read.

“Nacirema: Temples of Sound” – Written for World Cultures as an expansion on the Nacirema articles we read.

“The Kingdom Freud” – Third part of “The Color Freud”.  A half-assed “short story” based on associations which can be made between color symbolism and the id, ego, superego model.  I plan on making this into a children’s story at some point.
