Self Portraits

Each Page contains the full original photo and any results of screwing around with cropping, colors, etc. that I deem worthy of showing off.

This is a fairly limited selection of what has become my narcissistic obsession: self-photography.   Completely taken by the idea that I am ugly, I have developed a hobby out of trying to photograph myself in flattering ways.

Most recently uploaded photos are at the top of the list.

“Hiding” – Taken the same time as “Red Head”.  Here, I am trying hide in my robe.

“Red Head” – That’s right, no more blonde!  I’ve been red for a few months.  This one was taken of me in my robe, so I look a little sloppy, but I actually think it’s pretty cute.

“Hook Me Up” – The photo I used to get dates for the “Hook Erika Up Contest”.  Who can resist?

“Sad Baby” – A shift in the eye position makes this photo have a very different mood from “Bored”.

“Bored” – A similar pose to “Do Tell”, but a very different gaze directed at the camera.

“Almost Smiling” – I tend to take very sad-looking portraits of myself.  Here, I’m somewhere between smiling and smug.  This is the photo in the left of “Collage”.

“Ghetto Baby” – This is me, keepin’ it real, yo!

“Mirrors” – Taken looking into a bunch of dusty mirrors.  Interesting lines.  Naked!

“Do Tell” – Taken in my old dorm room, I managed to catch myself looking right at the camera with my eyes wide open.  Bonus points to anyone who can name all three posters and which bed is mine!

“Collage” – Picture taken of my old laptop with Paint Shop Pro open with a whole slew of self portraits.

“Sandy” – Can you see the contours of my face?  This was taken with the whiteboard feature of my camera: true black on white, no grayscale.

“Textured” – Another photo taken using the same technique.  This one came out much clearer and seems to have different textures throughout.
