there are nine linked areas in the room: bathroom, dresser, bed, body, head, nightstand, lamp, hamper, and mirror. each of these areas, except for head, have at least three types of texts associated with them: a description of the area as it is at the time of the investigation, a past event involving the area, and a ritual associated with it. clicking on head will reveal the old man's thoughts or the cause of his death, a hemorrhage-induced stroke (specifically, a subarachnoid hemorrhage). disorder is primarily about obsessive-compulsive disorder. the title is meant to indicate both the mental disease and the way someone with it sees the world: as chaos. the obsessive-compulsive person wants order and control, especially over the self. the irony is that these goals are unobtainable, even to the most diligent person; the obsessive-compulsive wastes his time in pursuits that he knows he cannot, but must, achieve. |
